Parassinikadavu temple
The sree muthappan temple of parassinikadavu stands on the banks of the valapattanam river and is one of the most important shrines in kerala.this pilgrim centre is famous for the muthappan theyyam performed every morning and evening.

This celebrated shrine follows the unusual custom of offering dried fish and toddy (made from the sap of coconut flower before it blooms, the sweetish liquid is allowed to ferment overnight in bottles or earthenware vessels to produce toddy. Combining the mildly intoxicating spirit with snacks, usually spicy seafood, has been the tradition in kerala for a long time) to deity.
The temple is open to people of all religions.
